Job Description :
Provides ongoing network / systems administration support including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software, applications and connectivity components. Provides technical support and advises on the use of programming tools, database systems and networks. Provides support to address availability and reliability issues on various systems (that is, Linux, Unix, Windows, Mainframe, Mac) across multiple locations. Operational responsibilities include remediation of daily incident tickets, system compliance, system run enhancement, testing, staging, policy / procedure enhancement, customer contact coordination and operational recommendations.
We are looking for a network engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and administering our company’s computer networks. Your primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. You will also be working closely with the users of our network in order to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Gains familiarity with Network / System Administration concepts, practices and methodologies.
- Learns to perform network / system administration duties, including: Responding to production issues and customer requests using ticketing system.
- Evaluating customer hardware requests for compliance, conformity, applicability, performance and cost effectiveness.
- Assisting in the development, implementation and documentation of project tasks.
- Documenting assigned activities and progress.
- Learns and applies DN’s Network / Systems Administration policies and guidelines.
- Learns about the interrelationships between team duties, other IT and engineering functions, and business users.
- Impacts the quality and timeliness of own work.
- Proactively learns team roles and priorities.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Network and Systems Administration.
- Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
