Job Description :

The Associate QA Engineer provides and ensures the overall assurance on the quality of product by implementing and adhering to the best practices in automation and manual testing processes.

Engineers that specialize in quality assurance (QA) create and design an organization’s QA management tools and systems. To assist in developing and preserving a remarkable user experience, they specify test requirements and automate test processes. They frequently work for tech or manufacturing firms.

Plans and procedures for both automated and manual testing will be reviewed and revised generally as part of the QA engineer position. You will oversee a group of engineers, developers, and quality assurance testers and make sure they follow company guidelines and established procedures. Leading the team’s QA initiatives and efforts to improve quality control procedures, reduce errors, and raise customer satisfaction will be a sign of success in this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Write manual test cases for new enhancements and subsequently automate them.
• Ensure overall application test coverage.
• Work closely with Lead QA, software engineers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts to triage reported software issues.
• Analyze application logs and investigate root cause for reported issues.
• Execute both automation and manual test cases and record test outcomes.
• Keep repositories and test practices updated with the latest industry developments.
• Identify and automate test cases to improve the automation coverage.

Qualifications and Skills

• 0-2 years of experience in QA
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Strong functional testing knowledge and concepts.
• Familiar with Database access using tools to review test results.
• Good to have basic to intermediate SQL skills.
• Should have experience working in Agile-Scrum process.
• Knowledge on tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins or similar, preferred.
• Experience working with Git.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work separate issues in a fast paced & dynamic company environment.
• High energy, proactive and approachable personality who enjoys solving a diverse set of problems.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.
• Have an attention to detail.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering streams.
