Job Description :
We are looking for a quality engineer to monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs. Designing quality standards, evaluating materials, machinery, processes, and products, creating quality control systems, and choosing remedial measures are all part of the duties of a quality engineer. You will also work with managers and supervisors to adopt quality measures.
By spotting flaws, creating solutions, and putting quality control systems in place, quality engineers make sure that a business’s goods and procedures adhere to set standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing quality standards.
- Developing and implementing quality control systems.
- Monitoring and analyzing quality performance.
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
- Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
- Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
- Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
- Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
Professional & Technical Skills
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies, processes and quality metrics
- Creates test cases (functional and regression)
- Programming skills in Java
- Automates applicable test cases for regression testing
- Experience in Selenium, SoapUI or similar tools or as stated in Program tech stack requirements
- Performs testing
- Identifies defects and work with scrum team on resolution
- Accountable for overall test quality (functional & regression)
- Promotes environment of collaboration within the test team
- Provides input release milestones
- Coordinates test planning and execution (FFT, SIT, CVT; performance tests, load tests, etc.)
- Provides reports related to product quality metrics
- Provides quality related inputs on go/no-go for every release (incl. promotion to INT, CVT & prod environments)
- Attends scrum ceremonies
- Updates status in Rally on a daily basis
- Ensures test cases cover 100% of new functionality
- Traceability from story cards to test cases
- Takes part in sizing process
