Job Description

A qualified Java Backend Developer is needed to join KPMG’s team. The ideal applicant will be well-versed in cloud computing, API integration, and backend programming. In order to serve business applications, this position entails designing, creating, and managing scalable backend solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Create and manage backend Java programs with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
• Create RESTful APIs and incorporate them with third-party services and front-end apps.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to provide effective data retrieval and storage.
• Put best practices for code quality, performance, and security into practice.
• Work together with cross-functional groups of business analysts, QA engineers, and front-end developers.

• Diagnose and fix application problems to guarantee lag-free system operation.
• Involve yourself in technical discussions and code reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Solid background in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices architecture.
• Expertise in the design and development of RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is advantageous.
• Acquaintance with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD workflows, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Robust ability to solve problems and competence in an agile development setting.
• Strong communication abilities and capability to collaborate successfully within a team.
