Location

Job description

Engineer Trainee will be responsible for maintaining and administering computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations. Trainee will monitor the production servers, scheduled jobs, incident management. They will be responsible for receiving incidents and requests from end-users, analysing these and responding to the end user with a solution. They need to provide support for Windows, Network, Database, Storage, Messaging and collaboration, and Cloud support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform activities based on defined guidelines in SOPs / Runbooks
  with business impact understanding.
• Adhere to customer security and compliance requirements.
• Adhere to customer communication etiquettes.
• Ensure stated productivity requirements for the engagement.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement plans (CSI).
• Contribute to and participate proactively in knowledge sharing sessions.
• Act as a buddy for new hires.
• Organisation – Adhere to Organisational policies and processes (including Cognizant’s security policies, LP, timelines, etc).

• Associate should be client-focused and able to work with users from different communities and cultures across the globe.
• Associate should be willing to work in a 24/7 environment and be open to relocating to any part of India based on project requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

• 2022, 2023, 2024 graduating batches of B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech. / MCA / M.S. / M.Sc. in any domain or specialization (Full-time degree).
• Students should possess consistent academic record with minimum 50% in X, XII, Diploma and UG (rounding off 49.9% is not allowed ).
• Students with standing arrears are NOT eligible.
• Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location in a given shift timing and technology is mandatory.
• Open to Indian nationals / OCIs PIOs who are currently residing in India.
• Candidates who have taken part in Cognizant’s hiring process within the past five years (2019 – 2024), mark the same in registration form.

Mandatory documents for registration: 

• Resume (maximum of 2 pages) with a high-resolution passport size photograph. Please note that the photograph should be clicked in a light background and both the ears of the candidates must be visible.

• All academic documents including the college ID card, and school/college UG mark sheets.

Mandatory documents for onboarding

The final Cognizant onboarding would be subject to satisfactory background verification.

• PAN card – In the event that PAN card is not available, please apply for it. It is a mandatory requirement for onboarding. Please ensure that your last name, father’s name, and other details are accurate. Please note that background verification will fail if the last name is not updated or if the PAN card name does not match the registered name.
• Voter Id card / Passport will be mandatory to verify citizenship.

Please note: Students will get the communications only to the registered mail ID in Superset. It must be their personal mail ID and shall be considered as the primary email ID. This email ID should not be changed at any point during hiring process or until Full Time Employment (FTE) onboarding.
