Job Description :

A competent desktop support engineer is needed to help our clients with computer hardware and software problems. Working remotely or on-site, you will be expected to help with basic IT problems, software updates, hardware installations, and system integrations.

IT support professionals known as desktop support engineers help customers with both software and hardware problems. They are responsible for providing remote or on-site technical support, which includes troubleshooting basic IT issues, installing and upgrading software, and configuring computer hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Remote Desktop roles are essential for providing technical support and ensuring smooth remote access to systems and applications. Here are some key roles and their responsibilities:
1.    Remote Desktop Support Specialist:
•    Provides technical assistance and troubleshooting for remote desktop issues.
•    Responds to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
•    Diagnoses and resolves hardware, software, and network issues
•    Guides users through the installation and configuration of software and hardware

2.    Remote Desktop Administrator:
•    Manages and maintains remote desktop infrastructure.
•    Ensures the security and performance of remote desktop services.
Configures and updates remote desktop servers and clients
•    Monitors system performance and implements improvements

3.    Remote Desktop Session Host:
•    Hosts session-based applications and desktops for users.
•    Manages user sessions and ensures availability of resources
•    Provides access to desktops and applications through various remote desktop clients

4.    Remote Desktop Engineer:
•    Designs and implements remote desktop solutions.
•    Collaborates with IT teams to integrate remote desktop services with other systems.
•    Conducts performance tuning and capacity planning
•    Develops and maintains documentation for remote desktop environment

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology.
• Proven work experience as a desktop support engineer or support technician.
• Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
• Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems.
• Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues.
• Ability to travel and work after hours when necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
