1. Associate Software Engineer Challenge

Roles & Responsibilities
Java Backend Role
-
Build and maintain Java-based applications with a focus on speed, scalability, and long-term stability.

Work closely with developers, product owners, and designers to turn requirements into working features.

Write clean, structured, and efficient code while following best engineering practices.

Review code written by peers and share useful feedback.

Take ownership of designing and developing advanced backend features for security-focused products.

PHP Backend Role
-
Develop and maintain features for the Securonix Threat Intelligence Platform (ThreatQ) with a strong focus on performance and reliability.

Collaborate with product teams and designers to deliver features as per requirements.

Write high-quality, secure, and maintainable code.
-
Participate in code reviews and help improve development processes.

Lead the design and development of advanced backend components.

Mentor junior team members by providing technical support and guidance.

Maintain documentation and stay informed about new technologies in cybersecurity and SaaS systems.
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge
Java Backend Skills
-
Strong command over Java and object-oriented programming concepts.

Hands-on experience with Java frameworks like Spring and JSF, along with microservices architecture.

Knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

Experience working with Git, REST APIs, JSON, and basic front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Familiarity with Agile workflows, testing tools (JUnit, Mockito, TestNG), and build tools (Maven, Gradle).

PHP Backend Skills
