Latest job opening in Akamai for SDET jobs.You’ll work closely with software-development teams to support good quality practices and build integration and system tests. The goal is to ensure quality code releases that are highly resilient, scalable, and performing optimally on our state-of-the-art distributed infrastructure.

We are seeking a careful SDET to oversee and review the designs being created for production software. The testability, robustness, and performance of production software are the main areas of attention for the SDET, who also handles software development activities. To help with the manual testing process, an SDET is a test expert with strong programming skills who can develop automation testing tools and frameworks.

Skills set Required for this Job :
  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Be well versed in designing and developing test automation in Python. Familiarity with Bash and Java
  • Have experience working in Linux/Unix environment with understanding of networking, TCP/IP, SQL commands and using databases
  • Possess experience with Version Control Systems/GIT and continuous integration technology with Jenkins
  • the capacity to identify dangers and mistakes in an application.

Job Responsibilities
  • Reviewing business needs, requirements, and technical specifications
  • Developing, publishing, and implementing test plans & test cases
  • Performing full regression test cycle for software releases: gathering specs, developing test plans, running tests and automation
  • Developing new automation suites and enhancing the continuous integration/continuous testing of networked software development environments
  • Supporting technical risk assessment and contributing to decisions on release readiness and schedules
