We are looking for a savvy Data Engineer to join our growing SPIDER (Comcast’s Cybersecurity & Privacy Engineering Research and Development) team whose mission is to build the next security and privacy data tools. If you’re excited to work with a group of technical experts solving hard security & privacy problems the right way using cutting-edge data collection, transformation, analysis, build data pipeline and monitoring tools in the cloud, this opportunity is for you.
Skills set Required for this Job :
- Degree in Computer Science, technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Have good understanding in Python concepts.
- Good understanding of SQL & NoSQL concepts.
- Exposure with ML libraries including Pandas, SciPy, NumPy, etc.
- Understanding of version control, GIT preferred.
- Basic understanding of ETL concepts.
- Basic understanding of Spark.
Job Responsibilities
- Build data pipelines for optimal storage and retrieval to meet business requirements.
- Build reliable, scalable, CICD driven streaming and batch data engineering pipelines.
- We need you to assist us in developing high-quality, high-performing, and secure data integration and ETL processes and conduct complex data analysis.
- Work closely with Researchers, ML Engineers, and Application developers to gather requirements to prototype, develop, validate, build systems for collecting, validating, and preparing high-quality data.
- Proactively anticipating problems and appropriately communicating to the team and management in a timely manner.
