Continuous automatic and manual testing of data sets is provided by the data quality engineer for usage in internal data systems and data transfer from internal systems to Disney clients. Depending on the systems of the suppliers and the needs of the clients, these data sets might be in many forms, such as JSON, XML, CSV, or RDF. Along with the data engineer and senior staff data engineer, the data quality engineer is a member of the data technology team.

Skills set Required for this Job :
  • Issues with data quality, testing protocols, and remedies should all be documented for future use and information exchange.
  • familiarity with data processing principles such as document mapping and intricate data linkages.
  • Proficiency in requirement analysis, defect tracking, remote team coordination, test reporting, and signoff.
  • strong technical and analytical abilities to handle complex problems.

  • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of data governance guidelines and standards.
  • Create, track, and keep up-to-date quality trends, KPIs, and reports for the internal data systems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work together with cross-functional teams to guarantee prompt and high-quality product delivery.
  • Create and run both automated and human test cases for software applications to guarantee the dependability of data transformations, ETL procedures, and pipelines.
  • Testing of end-to-end integration across several separate systems and interfaces, such as flat files and APIs (ETL), etc.
  • Use ODS, Snowflake data warehouse, and AWS services to test data migration and integration procedures.
  • Use industry-standard tools (SQL, Python, iCEDQ, etc.) to test database systems for functionality, integration, regression, and performance.
  • Make and keep test strategies, test cases, and test results documented.
