We are searching for an imaginative, passionate engineer with a broad interest in engineering sciences and a keen awareness of world engineering trends and technology. The engineer’s responsibilities include defining problems, conducting research, analyzing and applying information, devising solutions, and making judgments.

Skills set Required for this Job :
  • Need to have sound fundamental engineering knowledge.
  • Has a basic understanding of requirements related to eco-design regulations.
  • Has an understanding of Life Cycle Assessment standards (ISO 14040/44/25)
  • Has experience of conducting LCA as per the specific rules as (ISO14040/44/25). LCA
  • Basic understanding on REACH, RoHS, Prop65 and other applicable regulations and its impact on product and technology will be added advantage.
  • Comfortable dealing with data and Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts.
  • Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
Job Responsibilities
  • Execute detailed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies as per ISO 14040 & 14044 to evaluate environmental impacts of Eaton electrical products followed by 3rd party verification to publish type-III Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) with support of Engineers.
  • Support development of modular LCAs & creation a library of Eaton standard components & processes.
  • Support the product engineering teams on the calculation of greenhouse gas emissions associated with the electrical product’s lifecycle.
  • Support evaluation of compliance in accordance with applicable eco-design related regulations (e.g. EU-ErP Directive)
  • Understand customer requirements and communicate to other Eaton teams
  • Provide regular reports on development and support activities.
  • Support Design-For-Environment activities for new product development projects
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
