Latest job opening in FIS for Power BI Developer.A Power BI developer is a data scientist using Microsoft’s tools suite to create interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights. Their primary role is to transform raw data into meaningful information that can be used to drive business strategies and decisions.

We are seeking a diligent and well-organized BI Developer to oversee the development and maintenance of warehouse data in order to facilitate our business decision-making. In order to produce reports on financial and market intelligence to support business performance monitoring and decision-making, the BI Developer creates and manages a data warehouse design.

Skills set Required for this Job :
  • High proficiency in Power BI including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, data transformation, workspace administration, dashboard development, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of database utilities on multiple hardware/software platforms using multiple database engines with specific knowledge of SQL Server
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative, agile and other modern approaches to software development
  • Proficiency to create and support database technical environments
  • Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines through Unified Modeling Language (UML), use cases, etc.
  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and
  • external customers
Job Responsibilities
  •  Evaluates, designs, codes, implements, optimizes, and modifies BI reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to develop solutions for large and/or complex projects that require analysis and research, including data transformation, non-standard modeling, and custom DAX.
  • Build BI reports and dashboards and assist in the design of user interface and business application prototypes.
  • Participates in quality assurance and develops test application code.
  • Establishes standards, guidelines and quality assurance for BI deliverables.
  • Provides expertise in devising, negotiating and defending the tables and fields provided in the database.
  • Gathers and adapts business requirements and develops data, database specifications and table and element attributes for an application.
  • Maintains data dictionaries, monitors overall data standards and procedure, and integrates systems through database design and data modeling from the BI perspective.
  • Works closely with other developers to integrate dashboards and databases with other applications.
  • May provide leadership and/or guidance to other technical professionals.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.
