Using analytical expertise and statistical methodologies, you sift through data to uncover possibilities for Google and our partners to function more efficiently, from improving advertising efficacy to optimizing network architecture and monitoring user behavior. As an analyst, you don’t merely crunch numbers. You collaborate with engineers, product managers, sales associates, and marketing teams to improve Google’s practices based on your findings. Identifying the problem is only the first step; you must also devise a solution.

As a Data Scientist, you will assess and improve Google products. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of Engineers and Analysts on a variety of problems, using statistical approaches to measure quality, improve consumer products, and understand the behavior of end users, advertisers, and publishers.

In this post, you will be responsible for Ads Insights and Measurement. You will create, assess, and improve all of Google’s advertising products, including Search, Display, Apps, TV, and Video (e.g., YouTube). You will also play an important part in developing new concepts and methodologies that drive ad measurement and business development, such as paradigm-shifting ad-measurement research and products for a privacy-preserving future of digital advertising.

Skills set Required for this Job :
  • Experience with statistical data analysis, including linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling techniques.
  • Experience in machine learning on huge datasets.
  • The ability to make inferences from facts and suggest actions.
  • Ability to teach and learn new approaches, such as differential privacy.
  • Ability to choose the appropriate statistical tools for a data analysis challenge.
Job Responsibilities
  • Work with big complex data sets, solve challenging non-routine analysis problems, and use advanced problem-solving methodologies when necessary.
  • Conduct analysis, which includes data collection, requirement specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
  • Make business recommendations (e.g., cost-benefit, forecasting, experiment analysis) and effectively deliver findings to many levels of stakeholders using visual representations of quantitative data.
  • Analyze, forecast, and optimize techniques to improve the quality of Google’s user-facing products, including ad quality, search quality, end-user behavioral modeling, and live trials.
  • Collaborate with technical, product, and customer-facing teams to suggest, support, and create new data-driven, privacy-preserving advertising and marketing products.
