Is really Fresher Hiring in IT Industry Increasing for FY25
In fiscal year 2025, the Indian IT services industry is expected to see a notable uptick in the number of new hires.
Increased demand across a number of industry sectors, especially in banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI), is a major factor in this positive outlook.
According to data obtained from ET, in 2024 alone, Indian IT services companies hired between 150,000 and 170,000 new hires.
The largest IT services provider in the world, Accenture, for example, recently reported a 24,000 increase in staff for Q4 (June–August), the largest growth in the previous ten quarters.
In Q2 FY25, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) added 5,726 employees, reflecting a consistent hiring trend and a positive outlook for future projects
With a net addition of 2,456 workers in Q2 FY25, Infosys demonstrated steady workforce expansion consistent with its strategic focus on enhancing digital and artificial intelligence .
HCLTech, on the other hand, saw a 780 staff reduction in Q2 FY25, indicating a more cautious approach.
In the meantime, Tech Mahindra demonstrated tremendous momentum by hiring 6,653 people, propelled by robust telecom demand.
By adding 2,504 workers, LTIMindtree also demonstrated consistent growth, demonstrating strong momentum in its business domains.
