Job Overview:

Ecolab is looking for a Data Science Intern who is passionate about working with data to solve real-world business problems. The intern will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to analyze large datasets, build predictive models, and generate actionable insights. This role offers hands-on exposure to real industry projects in analytics, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and trends
• Build and test machine learning models for prediction and classification
• Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights
• Support business teams with data-driven reports and recommendations
• Assist in deploying and monitoring analytical models
• Document processes and present findings to stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Python or R for data analysis
• SQL for data extraction and querying
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms
• Experience with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn
• Data visualization using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib
• Basic understanding of statistics and probability
• Familiarity with Excel and spreadsheets
