All about TCS NQT 2025 : TCS NQT follows an Integrated Test Pattern for Prime, Digital and Ninja fresher hiring at TCS. Candidates need to appear for a single test and based on the test performance, they will qualify for Prime, Digital or Ninja interviews.

About TCS NQT 2025
When hiring Prime, Digital, and Ninja freshmen, TCS NQT uses an Integrated Test Pattern. Candidates will be eligible for Prime, Digital, or Ninja interviews based on their performance on a single test.Candidates pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.), Master of Engineering (M.E.), Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.), or Master of Science (M.Sc. / M.S.) in any specialization offered by AICTE or UGC-recognized universities or colleges are eligible to apply for TCS NQT. Test Features & Pattern, Hiring Categories, and Test Eligibility. Below is a detailed description of the eligibility and application process.
TCS iON NQT NATIONAL QUALIFIER TEST
Test Eligibility
- Highest Qualification: TCS NQT is exclusively open for candidates with the following academic degrees: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) / Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Master of Technology (M.Tech.) / Master of Engineering (M.E.) / Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) / Master of Science (M.Sc. / M.S.) in any specialization offered by AICTE / UGC recognized universities / colleges.
- Percentage: Minimum aggregate of 60% or 6 CGPA throughout academics including the highest qualification, till the latest semester for which results have been declared at the time of appearing for the test process. If selected, the offer will be valid only if the degree / provisional degree certificate clearly states that the candidates has cleared Engineering in ‘First Class’ after completion of the course, at the time of joining.
- Backlogs / Arrears / ATKT: The candidates should not have any pending or active backlog / arrear / ATKT at the time of appearing for the TCS Selection process. If selected, no pending backlogs / arrears / ATKT will be permitted at the time of joining TCS. All pending backlogs / arrears / ATKT should be cleared within the course duration stipulated by the University.
- Extended Education: No extended education would be allowed. Candidates should have completed the course in the stipulated course duration.
- Gap / Break in Education: It is mandatory to declare gaps in education, if any. Overall academic gap should not exceed 24 months until highest qualification. Relevant documentation, as applicable, will be checked for gaps in education.
- Course Types: Only full-time courses will be considered (Part-time / Correspondence courses will not be considered).
- Open Schooling: Candidates who have completed their Secondary and / or Senior Secondary course from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are also eligible to apply if the graduation and post-graduation (if applicable) courses are done full-time.
- Work Experience: Candidates with prior work experience of up to 2 years are eligible to apply for this hiring process (Applicable only for post graduate students).
- Age: Candidates should be between 18 to 28 years to participate in this hiring event.

Test Features & Pattern:
- TCS NQT is an integrated test consisting of two sections: Foundation and Advanced.
- While all are encouraged to attempt both sections, ‘Advanced section’ is mandatory if you aspire for Digital or Prime offer.
- Based on the test performance, candidates will be shortlisted for Prime, Digital or Ninja interviews.
- TCS has set particular time limitations for each coding section within this 90-minute period.
- In both questions, there were seven test cases.

Understanding the cut-off requirement is important for determining your preparation for the exam. The cut-off changes annually based on criteria such as the number of candidates and the difficulty level. However the predicted cut-off date for TCS NQT 2024 is April 2024:

TCS NQT 2025 Expected Result:

Application Process:
- Step 1. Log in to the TCS NextStep Portal
- Step 2. Register and Apply for the Drive
- Scenario A: If you are already a registered user under TCS NextStep Portal, ‘IT’ category, kindly log in with your TCS Reference ID (CT/DT reference number) and proceed to complete the application form. Upon submission, kindly click on ‘Apply For Drive’
- Scenario B: If you are a new user, kindly click on ‘Register Now’, choose category as ‘IT’ and proceed to fill in your details. Submit your application form and click on ‘Apply For Drive’
- Step 3. Select In-center mode of test, choose your 3 preferred test centers and click ‘Apply’.
- Kindly note that allocation of test center will depend on the center availability.
- Step 4. To confirm your status, check ‘Track Your Application’. The status should reflect as “Applied for Drive”.
Important Note:
- You must have all your original academic documents to date, to be submitted at the time of the Interview (if shortlisted for interview).
- Communication related to the test will be provided by our official test partner, TCS iON.
