Job Description :
The Intern – Python Tool Developer at Siemens Gamesa will work closely with engineering and software development teams to build, enhance, and automate internal tools that support wind turbine technology and digital engineering operations. The role involves designing Python-based applications, performing data analysis, creating automation scripts, and contributing to scalable solutions that improve productivity and efficiency across R&D and operational departments. Interns will be responsible for debugging existing tools, writing clean and optimized code, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables. This position demands a strong passion for coding, problem-solving attitude, and eagerness to learn industrial software development practices in a dynamic renewable energy environment.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s in computer engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven programming proficiency in Python, with an emphasis on clean, structured, and well documented code. Knowledge of code version control is a must.
- Some experience with FEA methods and tools. E.g. ANSYS Workbench or equivalent is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset, well-suited to fast-paced R&D teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Good communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas.
Key Responsibility

Develop and enhance Python-based automation and analytical tools.

Work with CSV, Excel, and database files for data processing and validation.

Integrate APIs and modules to support internal engineering workflows.

Participate in unit testing, debugging, and bug fixing.

Document tool features, version history, and user guidelines.

Collaborate with senior developers and domain experts on ongoing projects.
