Job Description
As a Test Development Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Cisco’s industrial networking products. Your work will directly influence the success of NPI programs and the delivery of robust, world-class solutions to customers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Define and implement end-to-end manufacturing test solutions.
- Collaborate with test fixture vendors to design, validate, and optimize test fixtures.
- Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans.
- Build Python-based scripts for test automation.
- Lead prototype bring-up activities in lab environments and troubleshoot technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute manufacturing test strategies for new products.
- Design and optimize test fixtures and collaborate with external vendors.
- Author and maintain Python scripts for test automation.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve manufacturing yield and test-related issues.
- Drive continuous improvement of test coverage and process efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with hardware, software, quality, and product engineering teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong software development skills with proficiency in Python.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (CCNA certification is a plus).
- Familiarity with test instrumentation, test fixtures, and electronic circuitry/schematics.
- Skilled in manufacturing and hardware testing, with the ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and identify root causes of manufacturing yield and test-related issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and build relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
