A Trainee Security Engineer is an entry-level role aimed to build skills in identifying, preventing, and responding to cyber threats while supporting an organization’s IT security architecture. They assist with monitoring systems, conducting vulnerability assessments, setting security tools, and applying security best practices. This function often requires learning about security compliance, network security, and incident response.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

• Foundational knowledge in Cybersecurity principles, tools, and techniques.
• Knowledge in Network security, Endpoint security, Cloud security, and Application security.
• Support Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing activities.
• Assist in identifying, analysing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
• Learn to identify and respond to security incidents and alerts.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the cybersecurity field.
• Assist in creating documentation and reports pertaining to assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.).
• Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, etc.).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, Endpoint Security, PIM).
