Job Summary
To create testing protocols for our software applications, we are looking for a skilled QA automation engineer. This position will be in charge of creating automated tests to verify the functionality of applications and evaluating their functionality. In addition, you will have to work with the software design team, setup databases, and find issues.
QA automation engineers, also referred to as quality assurance automation engineers, create automated tests to verify the functionality of mobile and web applications. They are responsible for writing the scripts, installing the automated testing procedures, designing the initial tests, and reporting the outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define Test Strategy and Test Plan
- Understand Requirements and participate in test Design
- Create test automation script for important features and execute scripts
- Experience in either UFT, selenium for web testing, RestAssured for API and Appium for Mobile testing . For Data testing SQL is used – knowledge of python is good to have
- Provide ideas and solutions for assessment and enhancement of automation frameworks
- Work closely with Offshore QE Manager to lead team and provide resolution to issues driving closure
- Create and track estimates of team members
- Defect reporting & test status reporting
- Ensure that each QE is owning their deliveries and representing themselves in daily standing meeting, able to plan the test of their own features, design ConformIQ / Hexawise,
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
- Previous experience working as a QA automation engineer.
- Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases.
- Familiarity with programming script languages including Java and VBScript.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good project management skills.
