Curating products that best meet the needs of users is the responsibility of a product designer, who is involved in the entire product lifecycle from conception to manufacture. Responsibilities
- Find market gaps through research that the product could fill.
- Recognize the demands of customers and examine their psychological states.
- Utilize the product designer’s tools to create designs and prototypes.
- Choose the best supplies and methods to create goods that are both high-quality and less expensive.
- Test product prototypes and make necessary improvements based on the results of usability tests.
- Work together with the senior product designer and the rest of the team to obtain new perspectives and insights.
- Learn about, investigate, and keep up of global design and innovation trends.
Required skills and qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in industrial design, product design, or a similar discipline
- Strong grasp of design ideas and a thorough comprehension of color theory Previous experience designing products or in a related capacity
- familiarity with design programs including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and others
