Job Description
We are searching for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our new Junior Talent program. As a trainee, your responsibilities include shadowing various staff members, participating in learning experiences, attending meetings and workshops, and traveling to other working environments to gain practical experience. You should keep an accurate record of your time at the company and be able to pass a competency test at the end of the program.
Are you an expert when it comes to performing second-line-of-defense activities? Do you ‘think on your feet’, compliance objectives with legal, regulatory and ethical considerations? Do you advocate for the importance of compliance and operational risks?
To be successful as a trainee, you should be willing to learn about aspects of the company that lie outside of your department. An outstanding graduate trainee should foster good relationships with staff members and leave a lasting imprint.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as a subject-matter expert in compliance and operational risk control (C&ORC) in managing risk
- Ensure a profound C&ORC framework is in place and kept up-to-date with policies and procedures as well as legal, regulatory and business standards
- Deliver independent risk assessment and provide effective challenge to the 1st and 2nd line of defense in relation to consequential risks and the risk frameworks
- Provide business management with training, frameworks, information and insights required to manage risk
- Review of Operational risk issues. Check and challenge as per the Operational risk framework and timely completion
- Co-ordination with senior management to ensure healthy control environment. Continuous review of the control environment to ensure it is fit-for-purpose, complete & accurate
