They oversee every phase of design, development, testing and delivery to verify if the product meets the quality standards and requirements, and they work with a team and report to a manager
We are looking for a Software QA Engineer who can participate in Agile development process to develop and execute test plans, automate scripts and programs for testing. This position will be responsible to analyse test results to ensure correct functionality and create defects when required. You will maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and resolution of software defects in collaboration with development engineers.
Skills set Required for this Job :
- solid professional background in software development and quality assurance.
- competent in software quality assurance techniques, instruments, and procedures.
- demonstrated ability to write succinct and understandable test plans and scenarios.
- practical knowledge of automated testing tools and white- and black-box testing techniques.
- solid scripting and SQL expertise.
- knowledge in working with Scrum and Agile development processes.
- Experience with security and/or performance testing is advantageous.
Job Responsibilities
- As a Quality Assurance Engineer you would work to ensure that products being built and processes being used adhere to all standards and requirements
- As a key function in our engineering organization, you’d be responsible for identifying and eliminating defects in NetApp products and solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
- Perform quality reviews and internal audits; evaluating data and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards
- Analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product
- Recommending modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality
