JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Data Science / Analyst with AI Tools at Atos in Chennai, you will be working on data engineering and analytics projects for a leading financial services client (Ameriprise), using cutting-edge platforms like Amazon Bedrock for GenAI use cases. Your day-to-day work will involve writing SQL and Python/PySpark scripts, building data pipelines using ETL tools like Informatica and AWS Glue, working with data sources such as Snowflake, and implementing NLQ and GenAI-based solutions to automate and optimize data quality, governance, and reporting processes.

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about data and AI and have hands-on exposure to tools like SQL, Python, Snowflake, and cloud platforms. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write and optimize SQL queries and Python/PySpark scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
• Implement NLQ (Natural Language Query) solutions to make data accessible to business users
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Informatica and AWS Glue for seamless data movement
• Work with GenAI and Agentic AI frameworks to automate data engineering and quality assurance tasks
• Build and maintain data quality assurance, data audit, and data governance dashboards
• Analyze data from Snowflake, relational, and non-relational databases to generate business insights
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and cut operational costs through AI-driven automation
• Support Business Intelligence reporting including compliance dashboards and proactive data quality monitoring

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong hands-on knowledge of SQL for querying and data manipulation
• Proficiency in Python and/or PySpark for data processing and analysis
• Experience or exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica and AWS Glue
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms like Snowflake and AWS (including Amazon Bedrock)
• Basic understanding of GenAI / Agentic AI frameworks and their practical use cases
• Knowledge of NLQ (Natural Language Query) implementations is an added advantage

QUALIFICATIONS / PREFERRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field
• Freshers or candidates with Entry level experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related domain are eligible
• Exposure to Business Intelligence reporting tools and data governance concepts is preferred
• Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases is a plus
• Academic projects or internship experience in machine learning, data pipelines, or AI tools is an advantage
