Through the Dentsu Tech Hackathon 2026, the company is looking to identify candidates who can apply their technical knowledge to practical business problems and develop technology-driven solutions.
Role Overview
The Dentsu Tech Hackathon is designed for candidates interested in technology-focused internship opportunities such as:
- Automation Intern
- Data Intern
- Tech Tools Intern
The opportunities are based in Mumbai and Pune.
Candidates will progress through multiple stages, beginning with a technical screening and potentially moving into interviews and an in-office prototype development phase.
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to work with Dentsu as interns for approximately 3 months, contributing to the development of the solution proposed during the challenge.
Challenge Details
The central challenge focuses on developing a solution for a Campaign Intelligence Workflow.
Participants are expected to demonstrate their ability to understand a business problem, design a practical technical solution, work with data, and consider automation and system integration.
The selection process evaluates both technical knowledge and the candidate’s ability to convert an idea into a workable solution.
Selection Process
Round 1: Technical Screening
The first round is conducted through HackerEarth and includes:
- 15 Multiple Choice Questions
- 2 Programming Questions
- 1 SQL Question
This round evaluates programming fundamentals, technical knowledge, logical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
Round 2: Approach Deck
Shortlisted candidates will prepare a 7–10 slide presentation explaining their proposed solution to the Campaign Intelligence Workflow challenge.
The presentation should cover areas such as:
- Problem understanding
- Proposed workflow
- Data modeling
- System integration
- Automation
- Technical feasibility
- Edge cases
- Overall implementation approach
Round 3: Interviews
Candidates who clear the previous stage may be invited for interviews.
The discussion can focus on the candidate’s technical understanding, proposed solution, problem-solving approach, product or business understanding, and ability to take ownership of the project.
Round 4: Build Phase
Selected candidates will participate in an in-office prototype development phase lasting approximately 2–3 months.
During this phase, interns will work toward developing the proposed solution, with structured checkpoints and demonstrations throughout the process.
