Job Description :
Calix is seeking a highly motivated and talented intern with programming experience in the Java/J2EE stack. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, an eagerness to learn, and be an engineering graduate preferably in computer science or a related field. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that enhance your learning and business experience.
For the position of new trainee engineer, we are looking for a well-organized graduate to join our team. Meeting attendance, desktop and field research, all practical and administrative tasks assigned by the supervisor, site visits when necessary, project assistance, improvement suggestions, and report writing are among the duties of the trainee engineer. You should be willing to venture outside of your comfort zone and have the ability to collaborate with others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24×7 technical support for applications, servers, virtual infrastructure, and network issues.
- Monitor alerts proactively using Zabbix, SolarWinds or similar, performing L1 troubleshooting, and escalating issues within SLA and meet MTTA and MTTN targets.
- Monitor system performance, identifying, and reporting potential issues.
- Manage escalations, communicating with clients and vendors as needed.
- Manage Jira queue effectively, ensuring timely acknowledgment of tickets and meeting SLA requirements.
- Monitor Slack and Teams for reactive issues and respond promptly to minimize MTTR.
- Participate in incident management processes, including incident detection, response, and resolution.
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues and resolutions
- This role requires you to work in 24×7 rotational shift.

Required Technical Skills:
- Server administration
- OS skills (Windows, Linux, etc.)
- Networking fundamentals (Routing, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Basic understanding of application architectures, (e.g. web, application, database)
Desired Technical Skills:
- Scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
- Automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.)
- DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, containerization, etc.)
