Job Overview
By running test cases without the use of automated technologies, a manual tester finds software flaws and guarantees product quality. Developing test plans, carrying out functional and regression tests, recording defects in JIRA and other tools, and working with developers to assess needs and confirm changes are all part of the duties. They guarantee that software satisfies requirements for functionality and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Design & Planning: Analyze system specifications to create comprehensive test plans and detailed test scenarios.
- Test Execution: Perform manual testing, including functional, integration, usability, and regression tests, to ensure software functionality.
- Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and retest bugs using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
- Documentation: Create and maintain test reports, test cases, and documentation.
- Collaboration: Work with developers, product managers, and QA teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
