Job Description :

In this role you will join a group of personable, dynamic, and technology savvy individuals who interact with Morningstar customers. You will expand your knowledge of Morningstar products and data and play an essential role in our mission to put investors first. This position is based in our Mumbai office.

Morningstar Indexes team leverages its expertise in equity research, manager research, asset allocation, and portfolio construction to create innovative investment solutions. It uses Morningstar`s intellectual property to create indexes that empower investors to achieve their goals at every stage of the investment process – market monitoring, benchmarking, and asset allocation. The unit offers a broad suite of global equity, bond, commodity and asset allocation indexes.

Responsibilities

• Be a product expert on Morningstar Indexes to satisfactorily respond to client and sales related queries with quick turnaround time
• Enable sales team with presentations, marketing collaterals, data, research & analytics
• Coordinate with internal teams (like Product Management, Operations) and prospective clients to launch and operationalize Morningstar Indexes
• Oversee daily publishing and deliveries of end of day index values, portfolios and other files to internal and external clients and third parties in a timely manner
• Monitor daily index calculation and ensure seamless dissemination of daily files.
• Work with vendors, escalate and work with them to resolve issues
• Work with Robotic Process Automation team within Morningstar to automate manual tasks and further streamline the process
• Create self-help modules/templates on Morningstar Direct to equip sales and service teams to quickly respond to general data related queries on their own.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Management, Economics, etc. and a strong interest in Finance.
• Some progress towards CFA/FRM is preferable.
• Comfortable with basics of MS Office, SQL and Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with the global team and deliver quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
• The candidate should exhibit a passion for innovation, and harbor a genuine belief in, and acceptance of Morningstar’s core values.
