As a Software Engineer I at Nike’s Geographies & Marketplace Experiences (GaME) – Athlete Tools team located at India Technology Center, you’ll work alongside a group of talented engineers building solutions for global digital and in-store platforms designed to deliver best-in-class consumer experiences.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer I who can design, develop and deliver high quality software solutions that solve specific business problems and grow Nike’s digital businesses.
In this role, you will gain a deep understanding of Nike’s technology landscape and business perspectives for the geography. You will be responsible for partnering with Global teams to augment existing and implement new products and capabilities through the development cycle. In this role, it is critical to partnering with local engineering teams, global engineering teams, product managers, business stakeholders and the rest of your immediate development team.
Job Responsibilities
- Work on impactful projects: Build features using Java and Spring Boot that enable Nike’s digital transformation and scale consumer experiences worldwide.
- Collaborate with teammates: Partner with engineers and product team members to design and deploy scalable solutions.
- Learn from industry leaders: Participate in peer code reviews, receive constructive feedback, and improve your technical expertise.
- Stay future-ready: Explore new technologies, stay updated with industry trends, and proactively contribute ideas to solve real consumer challenges.
- Support agile practices: Contribute to the team’s collaboration and processes to deliver solutions efficiently while focusing on continuous improvement.
Education:
- Engineering in computer science, information sciences or related field
- 0-2 years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer
- Strong understanding of designing and implementing web/mobile applications
- Ability to write computer code that is correct, well tested, and easy-to-read
Qualification & Skills
- Evangelize and cultivate adoption of GPaaS, open source software and agile principles within the organization
- Ensure solutions are designed and developed using a scalable, highly resilient cloud native architecture
- Deliver well-documented and well-tested code, and participate in peer code reviews
- Design and develop tools and frameworks to improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability and performance for the technology foundation of our platform
