Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Intern Data Scientist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be eager to work with data, possess a solid grasp of basic statistical concepts, and have hands-on experience using Python/Excel for data analysis. This role is ideal for individuals from a science or engineering background who are keen to develop their skills in deep diving the data.
Responsibilities:
- Data Handling: Retrieve, clean, and organise datasets for analysis, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Statistical Analysis: Apply foundational statistical methods to interpret data and generate insights.
- Python Programming: Utilise Python and its popular libraries (such as pandas, numpy, and matplotlib) to perform data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation tasks.
- Reporting: Present findings clearly using charts, graphs, and written summaries to communicate results to the team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other data scientists and team members to support ongoing analytical projects.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and visualisation.
- Basic understanding of statistics, including descriptive statistics and simple inferential methods.
- Familiarity with data handling and processing techniques.
- Experience with data visualisation tools is an advantage.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong logical and quantitative reasoning skills with an ability to draw meaningful conclusions from data.
- Team Player: Capable of working effectively within a team environment.
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills for sharing insights and collaborating with colleagues.
