Job Overview

We are searching for a dedicated Data Scientist willing to make a difference on their career and take on new challenges at P&G’s Scaled Data Science team in India. You will work on high-impact issues in the areas of retail, media, digital commerce, supply chain, productivity, and knowledge management as a member of our worldwide community of more than 200 data scientists. Owning a business area, developing a thorough grasp of problems, and designing machine learning, deep learning, GenAI, optimization, and statistical models that provide quantifiable value for the organization are all part of this function.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the product and business teams to identify problems and develop data-driven fixes.
• Create, hone, and implement scalable models on huge datasets to address issues with forecasting, categorization, and optimization.
• Convert unprocessed data into useful insights that have a direct impact on business choices.
• Work together with AI engineering teams to provide robust, production-grade pipelines and automate processes.
• Continuing to investigate and apply cutting-edge methods in statistics, machine learning, and optimization to actual business issues.
• Participate in innovation, best practices, and information exchange within the global data science network and the India hub.

Qualification

• A bachelor’s degree with significant expertise in data science, or a master’s degree in statistics, operations research, computer science, applied mathematics, economics, or a similar discipline.
• proficiency with SQL and Python; knowledge of Spark/Databricks is helpful.
• strong familiarity in data manipulation, optimization, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
• knowledge of cloud computing platforms like GCP or Azure.
• Outstanding problem-solving, prioritization, and teamwork abilities in a variety of contexts.
• It is advantageous to have prior experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies (GitHub, Jira, Confluence) and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
