Job Description
Through automation, monitoring, capacity planning, and emergency response, a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to guarantee the performance, availability, and dependability of large-scale software systems and services. Building robust and scalable systems, automating tasks to cut down on human labor, keeping an eye on system health, resolving issues, and working with development teams to strike a balance between feature releases and system stability are some of the main duties.
Job Description:
- Knowledge in Linux/Unix Administration
- Knowledge in networking
- Knowledge of wide variety of open source technologies/tools and cloud services
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Good English communications skills
- Strong background in linux networking ( ip, iptables, ipsec )
- Knowledge of working with MySQL
- A working understanding of code and script ( eg: Perl/Golang preferred )
- Knowledge of automation/configuration management using either saltstack or equivalent
