Zensar Interview Experiences

My Zensar Interview Experience – Akhil

My name is Akhil and I would like to share my interview journey with Zensar Technologies. The company visited our campus for hiring and we were instructed to register on the Hirepro platform to receive the assessment link. After about a week, the test link was shared with us.

Round 1: Online Assessment

The first round was an online exam conducted through the Hirepro platform. The test included four sections:

  • Aptitude
  • English
  • Computer Fundamentals
  • Coding (C/C++/Java/Python/Node.js)

The total time allotted was 110 minutes. The coding part mainly consisted of array and string-based questions, ranging from easy to moderate difficulty.

Round 2: Technical Interview

Three days later, I received an email regarding the technical interview. To prepare, I revised frequently asked technical questions (C/C++/Java/Python) from the Prepinsta website. The email also mentioned that I should join the meeting 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time.

The interviewer joined a bit late and apologized for the delay. He introduced himself and then started the interview with the following questions:

  • Tell me about yourself in 1 minute.
  • What is C?
  • Write a program to check whether a number is prime.
  • What is the syntax of a structure in C?
  • What is DBMS?
  • Explain different types of joins and their syntax.
  • Write an SQL query to fetch data of a specific person from the table.
  • What are ACID properties?
  • Difference between DBMS and RDBMS?

I answered all the questions confidently and I felt the interview went really well. At the end, the interviewer asked me to wait for further updates via email.

Round 3: HR Interview

Two days later, I got an email informing me about the HR round. It was held on Microsoft Teams and lasted for around 18 minutes. The interviewer began with his introduction and asked general HR questions. He also showed keen interest in my project and asked me to explain it in detail. It took me around 10 minutes to walk him through the complete code. He seemed impressed and asked me to wait for the results.

Final Result

After two weeks, I received the selection mail.
I was really excited and happy. I hope sharing my interview experience will help others who are preparing for Zensar.

Experience 2

My Interview Experience at Zensar Technologies

Recently, Zensar Technologies visited our college for recruitment, and I applied because I’m genuinely interested in joining the company. I’m sharing my experience so that others can understand the complete hiring process.

Zensar follows three rounds in its selection procedure:

  1. Online Test
  2. Technical Interview
  3. HR Interview

Below is my experience from each round.

Round 1: Online Test

The first round was an online assessment conducted on the Hirepro platform. The test consisted of four sections:

  • Aptitude
  • English
  • Computer Fundamentals
  • Coding

There were 4 coding questions, out of which we had to attempt only 2. The difficulty level was moderate — neither too easy nor too tough.

The questions I received were:

  • Check whether a string is palindrome
  • A problem based on a 4×4 matrix

Round 2: Technical Interview

After clearing the test, I received an email with the schedule of my technical interview along with the date, time, and interviewer’s name.

These were the questions asked during the technical interview:

  • Tell me about yourself
  • Which programming language are you most comfortable with?
  • What is DBMS?
  • What is a stack?
  • What is a queue?
  • Can you write a program for a Binary Search Tree? (I answered that I couldn’t)
  • Write code for stack operations
  • Questions related to my project

Round 3: HR Interview

After four days, I received a mail stating that I had been shortlisted for the HR round. The interviewer began by introducing herself and then asked for my introduction. Some of the questions she asked were:

  • Where are you from?
  • Why do you want to join Zensar?
  • What are your weaknesses?
  • What are your hobbies?
  • Why should we hire you?

Final Outcome

Two weeks later, I received the selection mail — and I was extremely happy. The very next day, they sent me the Letter of Intent (LOI) as well.

Experience 3

I’m Sanjith and I’d like to share my interview journey with Zensar. I came across the Zensar hiring post on Instagram, applied through the link provided, and soon received the details of the selection process. The recruitment consisted of three rounds:

  1. Online Test
  2. Technical Interview
  3. HR Interview

Let me explain each stage in detail.

Round 1: Online Test

The online test consisted of multiple-choice questions and was divided into four sections. I prepared mainly using PrepInsta mock tests, which helped me a lot because the explanations for each question were very clear and easy to understand.

The test included the following sections:

  • Aptitude
  • English
  • Computer Fundamentals
  • Coding (C / C++ / Java / Python / Node.js)

The total test duration was 110 minutes, and it automatically ended once the time was over.

Round 2: Technical Interview

After clearing the online assessment, I moved to the technical interview. The interviewer focused mostly on the programming languages and technical skills I had mentioned in my resume. He didn’t give an introduction and started directly with the questions.

Some of the questions I was asked:

  • What is an array?
  • Write a program to find the third-largest number in a list.
  • Do you know Python? (I answered yes)
  • Explain OOPs concepts in Python.
  • Give examples for each OOP concept.
  • Explain the paper presentation mentioned in your resume.
  • How do you declare and initialize 2D and 3D arrays?
  • What are pointers? Where are they used?
  • How is memory allocated in pointers?
  • What is normalization?
  • What are 1NF, 2NF, BCNF, etc.?

I answered everything, but the interviewer wasn’t completely satisfied with my explanation of normalization and asked me to revise the differences between each normal form.

Round 3: HR Interview

This was the final and easiest round. The HR mainly asked questions related to my personal background—family details, projects, hobbies, and favorite game. She seemed very interested in my project and asked me to describe it in depth. I explained clearly, and she looked satisfied.

Final Result

After about two weeks, I received a selection email from Zensar.

I hope my interview experience gives you clarity about the process. Thank you!

Experience 4

I would like to share my interview experience for Zensar Technologies. I had applied through a referral for the position of Junior Software Engineer. The entire hiring process was divided into three rounds:

  1. Online Test
  2. Technical Interview
  3. HR Interview

Round 1: Online Test

The first round was held on the HirePro platform, with a total duration of 110 minutes. The test consisted of four sections:

  • Aptitude
  • Verbal
  • Technical
  • Coding

The difficulty level of the questions was moderate, and I was able to complete the round comfortably and qualify for the next stage.

Round 2: Technical Interview

The second round was a 30-minute technical discussion. Most of the conversation was centered on the skills and experience mentioned in my resume. The interviewer mainly asked questions from my preferred programming language and some DBMS concepts. Later, he shifted to questions related to my previous internship.

Some of the questions I remember include:

  • Which programming language are you most comfortable with?
  • What other programming languages do you know?
  • Write a program to check whether a given year is a leap year.
  • What certifications have you completed?
  • Tell me about your internship and what you worked on.

Round 3: HR Interview

The last stage was the HR interview, which was a short and simple discussion focused on my academic background and personal details. Some of the questions I was asked were:

  • Are you open to rotational shifts?
  • Are you willing to travel if the job requires it?
  • Have you ever worked under pressure? If yes, share an example.

That concluded my Zensar interview process. I received the Letter of Intent (LOI) a few days later.

Experience 5

I would like to share my Zensar Technologies interview experience, which happened through an On-Campus drive. The company had a set of eligibility criteria for students, which included:

  • Minimum 60% GPA throughout B.Tech
  • No active backlogs

Round 1: Online Test

Eligible students were asked to fill out a registration form, after which the test link was provided.

The online assessment included sections from:

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Verbal Ability
  • Technical
    • 2 Coding Questions

The total time allotted was 110 minutes.

Both coding problems were based on basic DSA, one focused on recursion and the other on trees.

Round 2: Technical Interview

The technical interview was conducted online through Webex and lasted around 20 minutes. Some of the questions asked during this round were:

  • Difference between heap memory and stack memory
  • What are Static Binding and Dynamic Binding?
  • Syntax of different SQL joins
  • What is a Trigger in SQL?
  • Explain Inheritance and its purpose

The interviewer also asked a few questions about the certifications I had completed.

Round 3: HR Interview

The HR round took place on the same day in the evening and lasted about 10 minutes. It was short and straightforward. Some of the questions included:

  • Are you okay with rotational shifts?
  • Do you plan to pursue higher education?

The interviewer also reconfirmed details about my B.Tech degree and asked whether I had any backlogs.

A week later, I received the confirmation email, and that officially wrapped up my selection process.
