Zensar Notice Period Overview

1. Standard Notice Period

• For Freshers / Entry-Level Employees:
  • Typically 30 days (1 month) notice period when resigning voluntarily.
  • Must serve the full notice period unless a waiver or buyout is approved by HR.
• For Mid-Level / Experienced Employees:
  • Standard notice period is usually 60–90 days (2–3 months) depending on role, seniority, and project responsibilities.
  • Senior or critical roles may require longer notice periods to ensure smooth handover.
• Probation Period Employees:
  • Usually have shorter notice periods, often 15–30 days.
  • Can resign with less notice as per the probation terms mentioned in the employment contract.

2. Notice Period Buyout / Waiver

• Zensar allows notice period buyouts in many cases:
  • Employee can pay or forego salary equivalent to the remaining notice period to leave earlier.
  • Approval depends on project criticality and HR/manager discretion.

3. Exit Procedure During Notice Period

• Handover of Work: Employees must transfer responsibilities to a replacement or manager.
• Clearances: Return all company assets, documentation, and credentials.
• Final Settlement: Pending salary, bonuses, and leave encashment are processed after completing the notice period or buyout.

4. Resignation Process

• Submit written resignation to HR and reporting manager.
• Serving the full notice period is generally mandatory unless a buyout or waiver is approved.
• Leaving without completing notice may lead to salary deductions or withholding of relieving letter.

5. Key Points

• Freshers / entry-level employees: 1 month notice
• Mid-level / experienced employees: 2–3 months
