Sutherland Interview experience

Candidate 1 — Rahul Verma

My name is Rahul Verma and I attended the Sutherland interview process in April 2025.

First, I got a test confirmation email containing timings, login credentials, and instructions not to switch tabs or copy answers. The online test had English grammar, logical reasoning, typing speed, and customer-handling MCQs. After two days, I received a mail that I was shortlisted for the Virtual Technical & Communication Round.

In tech round, they asked scenario-based questions like handling angry customers, ticket creation process, basic networking terms, and email etiquette. Communication round had reading passage, pronunciation test, and mock call simulation.

Finally, the HR round included salary discussion, bond terms, shifts (mostly night), and WFH/WFO policy. After one week, I received the offer letter. Overall a smooth and supportive hiring process.

Candidate 2 — Priya Srinivasan

My name is Priya Srinivasan and I attended the Sutherland hiring process in December 2024.

I first received a test email containing instructions and system requirements. The online test involved listening skills (audio clips), grammar correction, MS Office basics, and basic troubleshooting scenarios. I completed it in 75 minutes.

Next round was Operations Interview, where the panel tested communication fluency and behavioral response. They gave sample situations like handling delayed refunds, call transfer rules, and CRM note-taking.

The HR round focused on permanent night shift availability, transport pickup/drop, and relocation. After three days, I got a call confirming selection with joining date details. Sutherland values confidence and patience more than technical knowledge.

Candidate 3 — Amit Kashyap

My name is Amit Kashyap and I attended the Sutherland placement drive in August 2025.

I first got a test mail from the recruitment team containing hall ticket details and webcam rules. The online assessment included aptitude, email writing, customer service case study, and chat support test where we had to reply to sample customer chats.

I cleared the test and got scheduled for Technical + Process Knowledge Round. They asked about ticket lifecycle, VPN/basic networking, remote troubleshooting, OS issues, and escalation matrix.

Next was HR interview — very friendly — they checked confidence, background, expected salary, and joining readiness. Two days later, I got a selection mail and document submission instructions. The entire process took 12 days.

Candidate 4 — Neha Reddy

My name is Neha Reddy and I attended the Sutherland selection process in January 2025.

The first thing I received was a test email mentioning time slot and sample questions. Online test had English comprehension, ticket priority questions, personality/psychometric questions, and call-listening evaluation.

After clearing the test, I had the Communication Round, where I had to read a paragraph and perform a mock call. Evaluators noticed grammar, accent clarity, empathy, and tone.

The HR discussion covered expected CTC, weekend shift availability, and career growth opportunities. After four days, I received an offer letter and onboarding checklist. Great experience and supportive recruitment team!

Candidate 5 — Mohammed Arshad

My name is Mohammed Arshad and I attended the Sutherland interview in May 2025.

I first received a test mail with login link and warning against external help. The assessment included grammar MCQs, voice & accent recording, multitasking test, and MS Excel basics.

After clearing the assessment, I had Operations Interview, where they asked about customer patience, sample call handling, call transfer etiquette, outage reporting, and previous experience.

Next, HR round included background verification, shift flexibility, transport facility, and training period rules. After one week, I got the offer mail. They value attitude, communication, and availability the most.
