JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Products & Systems Engineer at Capgemini Engineering in Bangalore, you will work on the development, design, and assurance of engineered products and systems across multiple engineering disciplines. Your day-to-day work will involve applying systems engineering concepts to define product requirements, support product design, ensure safety and reliability standards are met, and contribute to documentation and through-life support activities. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Apply systems engineering principles to support the design and development of products and solutions
• Define fundamental concepts, properties, and performance requirements for engineered systems and products
• Assist in determining product physical form, function, and performance parameters
• Ensure products meet safety, reliability, availability, and maintainability standards
• Support through-life product evolution including documentation, maintenance, and information asset management
• Assess whole lifecycle environmental impact and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies
• Contribute to incorporating renewable energy sources and clean technologies into product and system design
• Collaborate with team members, share domain expertise, and interact with clients to understand and address their engineering needs

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Basic knowledge of systems engineering concepts and product design principles
• Ability to interpret client requirements and translate them into engineering solutions
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills for handling straightforward technical challenges
• Familiarity with engineering documentation, lifecycle management, and quality assurance processes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS / PREFERRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering — Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Science, or a related field
• Exposure to engineering tools such as MATLAB, CAD, SysML, or similar is an advantage
• Understanding of safety, reliability, and maintainability (RAM) standards is preferred
• Prior internship or project experience in embedded systems, product engineering, or R&D is a plus
