Qualcomm is hiring an Engineer – Camera Systems (3A) to work on advanced camera technologies and imaging solutions. The role involves contributing to camera-system development, software/algorithm implementation, debugging, testing, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on the development and integration of camera and imaging systems.
- Analyze camera-system requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop, integrate, test, and debug camera-related software and algorithms.
- Investigate camera and image-quality issues and identify their root causes.

- Collaborate with hardware, software, algorithm, and systems engineering teams.
- Perform system-level debugging and validation.
- Analyze test results and improve camera performance and reliability.
- Participate in design discussions, technical reviews, and engineering activities.
- Develop solutions for complex technical problems related to camera systems.
- Support product development from engineering through testing and deployment.
Required Skills
- Strong programming and software-development fundamentals.
- Knowledge of C/C++ and/or other relevant programming languages.
- Understanding of software development and debugging.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of computer systems and engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience or knowledge of camera systems and imaging technologies.
- Understanding of image processing and computer vision.
- Familiarity with camera pipelines and image-quality concepts.
- Knowledge of embedded systems.
- Experience with Linux/Android environments.
- Understanding of hardware-software integration.
- Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools.
- Experience with multimedia or camera frameworks is an advantage.
