Job Description

Deloitte is seeking a Data Management Associate to support day-to-day data operations and reporting activities. The selected candidate will work with business data, perform quality checks, prepare reports, and assist teams in maintaining reliable and well-organized datasets.

This role is suitable for early-career professionals who are comfortable working with Excel, handling large datasets, identifying data discrepancies, and supporting data-driven business processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize business datasets while ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
• Review data for errors, inconsistencies, missing information, and duplicate records.
• Perform data cleaning, verification, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Create and maintain recurring reports, MIS reports, and data summaries.
• Use Excel-based analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and data-related issues.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve data discrepancies.
• Maintain proper documentation of data processes and reporting activities.
• Assist in improving existing data-handling and reporting processes.
• Handle large volumes of information while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Provide operational support for ongoing data management requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including:
  • Pivot Tables
  • VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
  • INDEX-MATCH
  • Excel formulas and functions
  • Data validation
  • Sorting and filtering
• Good understanding of data management and reporting concepts.
• Strong analytical and logical problem-solving ability.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to identify and investigate data discrepancies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Comfortable working with large datasets and repetitive data processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Commerce, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience can apply.
• Fresh graduates with strong Excel and analytical skills may also be considered.
• Relevant exposure to Data Management, MIS, Reporting, Operations, Data Analysis, or Business Operations will be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working extensively with data. You should be able to work independently on routine data tasks while collaborating effectively with different teams to resolve issues and improve reporting processes.
