Job Overview
CGI is hiring a Python AI Apprentice for its engineering team in Hyderabad, India. This opportunity is suitable for freshers and candidates with up to 1 year of experience who want to build practical skills in Python, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and automation.
The apprenticeship is expected to run for 6–12 months, giving candidates exposure to real-world enterprise technology projects and AI-powered applications.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop Python-based applications, tools, and automation scripts.
- Assist in creating Machine Learning and AI-powered solutions.
- Work with structured and unstructured data for analysis and model development.
- Contribute to Generative AI and LLM-based applications.
- Build and integrate APIs for AI-enabled solutions.
- Test, troubleshoot, and improve Python applications.
- Work with developers, data professionals, and business teams.
- Maintain technical documentation and project-related information.
- Explore and learn emerging technologies in AI, ML, Python, and automation.
- Support the development of data pipelines and AI automation workflows.
Required Skills
- Python programming fundamentals.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Basic knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- SQL and database fundamentals.
- Fundamentals of Machine Learning.
- Understanding of data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation.
- Basic knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Understanding of Prompt Engineering.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with Git or other version-control systems.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
Candidates with exposure to any of the following technologies may have additional relevant experience:
- Pandas and NumPy
- Scikit-learn
- TensorFlow or PyTorch
- LangChain
- OpenAI / Azure OpenAI services
- Flask or Streamlit
- AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Power BI or other data visualization tools
Educational Qualifications
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or be in the final year of a relevant degree program, such as:
