Program: HackCellence 2026 – The Embark Edition
Internship: Embark Technology Internship
Location: Bangalore, India
Work Mode: In-person
Duration: January – June 2027
Monthly Stipend: ₹75,000
Eligible Candidates: Final-year Engineering students graduating in 2027

This program is designed for engineering students who want to demonstrate their problem-solving and development skills through a competitive hackathon. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in a six-month full-time technology internship at Booking Holdings’ Bangalore office.

High-performing interns may also be considered for full-time technology opportunities after the internship.

Job Description

As an Embark Technology Intern, you will work on practical engineering challenges and build technology-based solutions under the guidance of experienced engineers.

The selection process begins with online rounds where candidates demonstrate their technical thinking and ability to develop solutions. Candidates who progress to the final stage will participate in an on-site build challenge in Bangalore.

The internship will provide exposure to real engineering environments, collaborative development, problem-solving, and building solutions that address practical technical requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze technical problems and understand the requirements provided.
• Design and develop practical technology solutions.
• Write clean, structured and maintainable code.
• Apply appropriate programming and problem-solving techniques.
• Build and test working prototypes or applications.
• Debug issues and improve the reliability of solutions.
• Think creatively when approaching unfamiliar technical challenges.
• Collaborate with other engineers and team members during project development.
• Explain technical decisions and communicate ideas clearly.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies, tools and engineering practices.
• Contribute to meaningful engineering projects during the internship.

Required Skills

• Strong programming and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript or similar.
• Understanding of fundamental Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Basic knowledge of software development concepts.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a final-year Engineering degree.

• Expected graduation year: 2027.
• Open to eligible engineering students who meet the program requirements.
• Candidates must be available for a full-time, in-person internship in Bangalore from January to June 2027.
• Candidates can register individually; a team is not required for registration.

Selection Process

The HackCellence 2026 process consists of two online rounds followed by an on-site finale.

Candidates will be evaluated on their technical thinking, problem-solving approach and ability to build practical solutions.

Finalists will participate in the on-site challenge in Bangalore and form teams for the final build.
