JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Analyst AI Engineer at BlackRock in Mumbai, you will be part of the Strategic Initiative team within the Outsource Platform Services division, working on building AI-powered technology solutions that help the middle office outsourcing business scale and innovate. Your day-to-day work will involve crafting and developing AI-based solutions using Python, working with open-source AI frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and Google ADK, operating within an Agile environment, writing testable and production-ready software, and collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and developers across geographies to translate ideas into working prototypes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and deliver AI-based technical solutions that help the organization scale its middle office outsourcing operations
• Build and maintain software solutions for both BlackRock and external client organizations using the Aladdin platform ecosystem
• Work with leading technologies including Python, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Cassandra
• Develop testable software with a focus on incremental innovation and continuous delivery
• Collaborate with users, designers, developers, and product managers to translate business needs into working prototypes
• Solve complex problems related to process optimization, data management, and technology in an ever-changing environment
• Operate within an Agile environment and contribute to open-source development practices
• Build and nurture strong working relationships with colleagues and clients across geographies

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Python for software development
• Minimum 1 year of experience with AI open-source frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or Google ADK
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns and software engineering principles
• Familiarity with DevOps and version control tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps
• Solid understanding of Agile development concepts and related project management tools
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

QUALIFICATIONS / PREFERRED SKILLS

• Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 1+ year of professional experience in AI engineering, Python development, or a related field
• Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of deliverables, and meet deadlines independently
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams across different time zones and geographies
• Positive attitude, curiosity, attention to detail, and a continuous drive to learn new technologies
