Job Overview

Software applications are tested by a Quality Assurance (QA) Intern to guarantee performance, functionality, and quality. In Agile contexts, duties include developing test cases, carrying out human or automated tests, reporting errors, and recording results. This position provides practical expertise with tools such as Selenium and JIRA.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning: Assist in creating test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on software requirements.
• Test Execution: Perform functional, integration, regression, and smoke tests, both manually and automated.
• Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), working with developers for resolution.
• Documentation: Maintain and update test documentation and product quality metrics.
• Collaboration: Participate in agile team meetings, such as daily standups and sprint planning.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree program.
• Basic understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), and testing tools.
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) or SQL is often preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
