JOB DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this role is to identify alerts, assist in triaging incidents, and perform basic vulnerability checks to support day-to-day cybersecurity operations and maintain system integrity.
We are looking to hire a cyber security engineer with an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cybersecurity methodologies. Cyber security engineers are expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and Incident Detection-Identify alerts and review log sources to detect unauthorized access, malware signatures, and suspicious network traffic
- Incident Handling and Analysis-“Assist in triaging security incidents and document findings in the incident management system.”
- Threat Assessment and Analytics-Support vulnerability assessment activities and assist in gathering basic security data.
Requirements:
- A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification.
- Experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Office 365 Security, VSX, and Endpoint Security.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, and/or Power Shell.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
