Job Description

WSP is hiring an AI Engineer to build and maintain Generative AI applications for enterprise use. The role involves developing AI agents, intelligent automation workflows, and AI-powered applications using Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Microsoft Azure.

The selected candidate will help integrate AI solutions with business systems, improve output accuracy, maintain security standards, and support applications throughout development and deployment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop Generative AI applications, AI agents, and automated workflows.

• Implement RAG systems, prompt engineering techniques, and structured AI outputs.

• Integrate AI applications with APIs, enterprise platforms, databases, and search services.

• Build data pipelines for document processing, embeddings, indexing, and information retrieval.

• Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, reliability, and safety.

• Apply responsible AI practices, validation mechanisms, and security controls.

• Write reusable, efficient, and well-documented Python code.

• Support application deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

• Work with engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable AI solutions.

Required Skills

• Python programming and software development fundamentals.

• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering.

• Understanding of RAG, embeddings, and vector search.

• Experience or familiarity with AI agents and workflow automation.

• Knowledge of REST APIs, SQL, and system integrations.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Azure AI services.

• Understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

• Knowledge of AI evaluation, monitoring, and cloud security.

• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Zero to three years of experience in software, data, or AI engineering, including relevant internships or practical projects.

• Practical knowledge of Python, SQL, REST APIs, and programming concepts.

• Understanding of LLMs, RAG architectures, embeddings, and AI testing methods.

• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, cloud services, and secure application development.

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure or Azure AI certifications.

• Experience building AI agents, enterprise search applications, or document intelligence solutions.

• Familiarity with MLOps, model lifecycle management, and production monitoring.

• Experience working in Agile environments or with globally distributed teams.
