HCL GET Syllabus

1. HCL GET Online Assessment Syllabus (Cognitive Aptitude Test)

The Online Assessment is the first and most eliminatory stage. It is usually 75 minutes long, with around 75 questions, divided into four sections:

A. Quantitative/Numerical Ability (15 Questions)

Focus: Test basic math and problem-solving skills.

Topics to cover:

  • HCF and LCM
  • Percentages, Profit & Loss, and Discount
  • Simple and Compound Interest
  • Time, Speed, Distance, and Work

  • Blood relations, Directions, and Arrangements
  • Series completion (numbers, alphabets, and mixed)
  • Coding-Decoding and Odd One Out
  • Syllogisms
  • Statement & Conclusion / Statement & Assumptions
  • Puzzle-based problems
  • Data Interpretation (tables, graphs, pie charts)

Tips: Practice previous HCL mock reasoning questions. Time management is crucial.


C. Verbal Ability (15 Questions)

Focus: Tests English language and communication skills.

  • Reading Comprehension (short passages)
  • Synonyms and Antonyms
  • Spotting Errors (Grammar, Punctuation)
  • Fill in the Blanks (Vocabulary & Grammar)

Additional Notes for Online Assessment

  • No negative marking (usually).
  • Questions are mostly MCQs.
  • Difficulty: Medium. But some questions may be tricky for time management.

2. HCL GET Technical Interview Syllabus

After passing the Online Assessment, candidates face the Technical Interview, which tests practical understanding of your technical knowledge.

3. HCL GET HR Interview Syllabus

The HR Interview is the final round. It tests your personality, communication skills, and cultural fit.

Topics/Questions usually asked:

  • Self-introduction and background
  • Strengths and weaknesses
  • Short-term and long-term goals
  • Why HCL and why this role?
  • Willingness to relocate or work in shifts
  • Handling stress and conflict situations
