Infosys hires Specialist Programmer (SP) and Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE) roles through On-Campus and Off-Campus drives.

Types of Interviews Conducted by Infosys for SP & DSE

After the online coding assessment, Infosys conducts two interview rounds.
Sometimes both rounds are combined into a single interview.

1. Technical Interview (TR)

Focus areas:

  • Data Structures & Algorithms
  • Coding questions (Live coding on shared screen)
  • OOPS, DBMS, OS, CN
  • Project deep-dive questions
  • Frameworks, tech stack used in resume
  • Internship / experience details (if any)
  • System design (mostly for SP)

Example things they may ask:

  • Write code to reverse a linked list
  • Implement hash map
  • Explain your project architecture and database design
  • Time and space complexity

For SP, technical depth is very high
For DSE, development and deployment topics are asked more


2. HR Interview

Focus areas:

  • Personality and communication
  • Fit for the role and company
  • Career goals & relocation
  • Salary expectations
  • Teamwork and workplace behavior

Common questions:

  • Tell me about yourself
  • Why do you want to join Infosys?
  • Strengths and weaknesses
  • Are you willing to relocate?
  • Tell me about a challenge you faced in a project
